Registration
THE 2026 EVENT IS FULL, but please join the waitlist in case we can accomodate you.
You must enter via our registration form AND to each of the trailing organizations once those premiums are live as well as sign the online waiver. Entries will be done on a combo of lottery basis and priority given to teams that are staying at the venue.
We will have a live Q&A with Shanna before we finalize entries to answer all of your questions.

Friday night – SOG
Saturday
Woofy Scenting Games – Novice level
3 rounds each on interiors, exteriors and containers.
Running concurrently we will have K9 abc Games TOG in the morning and DOG in the afternoon
Sunday
Woofy Scenting Games – Advanced level
3 rounds each of interiors, exteriors and containers.
2 rounds each of Tic Tic Boom and Scenting Teams (may run concurrently)
*possibility of adding in another round of DOG if there is enough interest
Monday
Woofy Scenting Games – Excellent level
1 round each of interiors, exteriors and containers.
SOG running concurrently
*typically we have to vacate the venue by 11am so these might change to Sunday.

Entering Information: Entry will be online at ENTER HERE
Dog Registration: All dogs entering this trial will automatically be registered with WSG and receive a registration number.
K9-SSG Scores: When entering this trial, you will be asked if you have scores earned in K9-SSG that you would like carried over into WSG.
Novice and Advanced elements have no prerequisites. You may enter Advanced elements without earning the Novice element title first.
You can check your dog’s scores HERE. Look for your dog’s number and the number of passing scores is listed. If you can’t remember your dog’s number it is located on all your scoresheets
Scenting Teams: You will have the option to request your team partner on your entry. If you do not have a requested team partner you will be assigned a partner or a bye dog team if there is an odd number of Scenting Team entries.
Trial Information
- The trial area around the cabins will be on leash only, please no flexi lines.
- No dog-on-dog greetings even if your dog is “friendly” or the dogs are friends.
- No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within trial boundaries.
- Competitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of WSG rules and regulations.
- Please don`t bring essential oils onto trial grounds or anything with target scents on them.
- Flat collars or non-tightening harnesses only, no corrective type collars or harnesses on trial grounds.

Handlers must pick up after their dogs. Do not allow your dog to potty on anything man made, or plants, flowers etc.
- Kenneling will be in your vehicle, cabin or RV please bring anything you need to keep yourself and dog comfortable.
- Volunteers needed on a rotating basis as wranglers and gate stewards. Everyone will be asked to help out.
About the Venue
The Gavin Lake Forest Education Centre is a not-for-profit camp. Click here to visit the camp website and see all the fun things there is to do.
** There is NO cell signal or internet at this venue (except for an emergency) so come prepared to unplug!**
The venue is about an hour from the closest town so plan accordingly.

The sleeping cabins are as follows:

Cabins 1-5 (4 beds in each cabin. Each cabin has one double bed. Cabin 5 has a washroom [on hold for judges])
Cabin cost is $100 a night or $250 for the weekend. Cabins have electricity and are heated with baseboard heat. They do not have running water.
Beds are mostly singles and have a mattress covered with a fitted sheet. You are responsible to bring your own bedding.

Dogs are allowed in all of the cabins, but please keep them in a crate or Xpen if you are not in the cabin. You will be responsible for any damages at the rate of $25 an hour for the venue to fix them.
RVs and Tents
There is space for about 25 RVs or tents in the large field. It is dry camping with no hookups but you will have access to the washroom, showers and kitchen.
Please bring covers for xpens etc to keep reactivity to a minimum if your dog is penned outside.
Please do not run generators after 9pm or before 7am.
Cost to book a spot is $35 a night or $75 for the weekend.
Catering
We have the option to have the entire event catered so are looking into options.
We also have access to a full kitchen and mess hall (no dogs allowed in those) that all can use. We are responsible for bringing all food (including condiments) and complete clean up after.
Event and Site Rules
- Available recreational and instructional material at camp includes: eight canoes, archery equipment, compasses and orienteering courses, swim area, fire area and trail system with access to surrounding crown land. The lake has trout and is great fishing!
- Communal washhouse with hot and cold running water
- Knowledgeable adult persons must supervise all campers using recreational and/or instructional materials (i.e. canoes, Bouldering cave, archery equipment, orienteering equipment, fire tools, etc.) within camp boundaries and/or outings beyond the area.
- Smoking is permitted only at the campfire area.
- Smoking in any buildings is not permitted.
- Dogs need to be contained in a crate or xpen if they are alone in a cabin.
- Personal floatation devices must be worn at all times when boating
- NO dog to dog contact (unless from the same household or inside a shared cabin).
- Dogs must be on leash at all times
- This will be a dry event
*Failure to abide by the site rules may mean that you will be asked to leave immediately and with no refunds. King Dog Sports Club and Gavin Lake Camp have final say.
